Steampunk J Cricket

The Adventures of Pinocchio was originally written in 1883 by Italian author Carlo Collodi. As one of the most re-imagined characters, Pinocchio began his existence as a little s**t who got hanged in the end for his misdeeds. In fact, he squashes “the talking cricket” fairly early on in the story. Pinocchio was a bad boy who killed his conscience… but it doesn't have to be the end…

“We have rebuilt him…”

“…better than he was before: better, stronger, more conscientious. We have the capability to build the world’s first bionic conscience.”

This is the sculpture of Jimini Cricket, re-imagined as a steam powered robot, with the stature of Abraham Lincoln and the CPU of C3P-O.

Jimini Cricket

  • He’s an original sculpture made of clay, wire and wood, permanently affixed to a 6 1/2″ black round platform.
  • His dimension are 2″ wide, 2 1/2″ front to back, 6 1/2″ tall. He is extremely fragile and should be handled sparingly, very gently, and is most definitely not a toy.

Comes complete with…

  • Umbrella (5″x 1/2″x 3″): handcrafted from wood, wire and paper (a cocktail umbrella didn’t look right)
  • Monopoly hat (3/4″x 5/8″x 3/8″) : the prefect size *initial inspiration for the whole piece*
  • Glass bell-jar (4 1/2″x 4 1/2″x 9″): for classy dust free display

This is a one of a kind work of art, never to be exactly reproduced.
