Speaking of irresponsible (the title of my last post), here's the finished teddy bear! I glued him to the base which consists of 3 poker chips - only the first 2 poker chips are glued together. To be able to turn the light off and on I didn't glue the bottom poker chip (which holds the negative wire in place). Instead, I've glued magnets to both the middle and last poker chips. The negative wire can be easily accessed this way and moved to touch the battery or bent away from the battery to turn the light off. I received a lot of positive feedback from this piece along with some great ideas for a new piece. So I want to give a big "THANK YOU" to everyone who contributed to this past Tuesday's post... and there it is. This weekend was jam packed full of Halloween goodness, and to that fact...

If you tuned in for the last post you'll be glad to know the family and I are feeling much better, and just in time for Banned Book Week! In honor of Banned Book Week I've made a little-bitty dragon dinosaur: Okay... I didn't actually make it for Banned Book Week; I just found out about it yesterday. This little critter started from a 3 ½ inch piece of wire I had laying around. I was going to throw the wire away if I could try to make something from it. Banned Book Week has been observed since 1982 (the year I was born) and I would like to make something specifically for the occasion; I'll mull it over and try to come up with something before the end of the week. Let me know if YOU have any ideas. Books are banned all over the world for containing unpopular or unorthodox viewpoints....

Oh baby, my baby doesn't have the croup, he has a repertory infection... now, we ALL have respiratory infections. I haven't been sick in years and I just want to lay down... he just want's to play. The good news is I have been getting more sleep the past couple nights. The bad new is 4 hours isn't a whole lot of sleep to be proud of. I'm only slightly worried about that since my giraffe research led me to the fact that giraffes survive on less sleep than any other mamal - 4 ½ hours. LOL, with that in mind I tried to get an extra half hour in this morning but it was not to be. I've "finished" the Queen! I was determined to get her baked last night, and I did. There are still a couple more minor details that I'd like to add but she's done. I'll show you what we've...

I haven't started any new pieces since the last post... instead I've been tweaking this website. I reworked the Portfolio page to lessen the effects from the annoying white boxes that pop up when you would hover over a thumbnail image. I've also added a Shop, which besides being sparse, has no payment options. I'm working on it but, for the time being, if something interests you I've inserted links to my Contact page where we can discuss additional options and I can direct you to my PayPal. Whether or not you're in the market for an awesome handmade belt buckle or a dragon lighter case, just take a look and let me know what you think about the changes. Honest opinions are welcome and if you have any suggestions, I appreciate those too. I've gotten started on my son's Backyard Bug Guide. The dragonfly depicted here is one of my drawings from the...

I tried my best to get it ALL done Wednesday...but no. Not enough nap time for the baby, plus I had the remaining 12 canvases to stretch and prime for Drew the artist. These canvases are the LAST 12... that is, until the next yacht big-boat decorating venture. After his eye appointment today, while the baby slept for, like, a second, I was able to spray an acrylic clear-coat on the Astronaut fella and repaint his boots and gloves black. The clear coat has brought out more detail in the weathering I mentioned in the previous post. Now, all that's left is to glue the ray-gun and the "fanny pack" on. As soon as I'm done with the Astronaut fella, pictures will be posted. For now, I need to go tend to a "pupilated" baby! Tweet
